Saturday
Saturday was a fun day. S-girl is in the habit of laying out her clothes for the next day for school. On Friday night, she decided to lay out I-girls and M-boy's clothes as well. She even laid out a diaper for M-boy. Have I been raising a born organizer or what? (I'm actually not sure where she gets it from, I have never claimed to be this organized myself)
Here is S-girl helping me make a Saturday morning pancake breakfast.
After breakfast, S-girl really wanted me to take her to some garage sales, so Mike took I-girl and M-boy with him to the Stake Center to help set up chairs for Stake Conference, and S-girl and I went to a few garage sales for about an hour. S-girl and I had a great time, and I was thrilled to find some tortilla smashers to make homemade tortillas with. It was at the first garage sale we went to, I overheard a guy say to someone else, "why don't we sell those tortilla smashers, we never use them anyway". Immediately my ears perked up, so I went over and asked him about them. He showed them to me (he had two) and said he would take $2.00 a piece for them (he originally paid 10.00 a piece) I bought them both. I love making homemade tortillas, but I can never get them round or flat enough. I'm so excited to try them out!

I have to post this picture because this is what we see in the kitchen in the morning when we wake up. S-girl bought this at the dollar store a few weeks ago, and it is growing hair (grass) finally. I think I planted it wrong, but it seems to be working, although it is still a little anemic.

This was lunch on Saturday. M-boy loves noodles more than anything else. These are his favorite because he can fit them on his fingers.

The girls ran through the sprinklers in the afternoon. S-girl made all of the shapes on the lawn, can you see the square, triangle, and rectangle? (she is in front of the circle)

I-girl told me a few days ago that she wants to be a ballerina for Halloween. I found two dress-up costumes at a garage sale that day. She thought it was the best thing ever.
That night, Mike thought it would be fun to make caramel apples. It was fun, and they tasted to yummy! Here are a bunch of pictures.

On Friday, M-boy came down with croup. Mike took him to the doctor that night where they gave him a steriod shot. Last night, (Sunday) his breathing sounded really wheezy. I took him to his peditrician this morning, who then diagnoised him with asthma. Apparantly asthma is genetic, but neither Mike or I have it in our families. Anyway, they gave him a breathing treatment, and had a nebulizer brought to us this afternoon. It really helped him to breath to much better. Hopefully he will sleep better tonight. Last night he hardly slept at all. I feel so bad for the little guy. It's hard to see him going through things like this, and I find myself trying to think of all of the ways he could have possible gotten sick, and trying to come up with some explanination as to why he goes through all of this. But, if I remember right, both of the girls went though a time, around his age where they seemed to be sick all of the time. It just seems to be a lot more intesnse, knowing how his little body reacts to illness. He did seem to run a slight fever on Saturday, but it wasn't real bad.

I find this exhausts me emotionally and physically. I have not exercised regularly for almost two weeks now. Mike and I were in a really great routine, until M-boy had his seizure two weeks ago. Every time he has a seizure, it seems to through all of it out of wack, and I wonder how hard it is going to be to get back into it again. I just have to keep going, knowing all of this has a purpose, which I cannot possible know right now. I know the Lord knows me and He knows how I feel right now. I have to have faith in my Savior who suffered beyond anything I can imagine so that he can know just how I feel.
There are so many good things to look at, I have a wonderful husband who loves me and the kids more than I can even know, we have a nice house, with even nicer neighbors, Mike has a job that keeps us fed and taken care of. We have the best family and have so much support from our loved ones. I find that when I count my blessings, my "burdens" don't seem as heavy. I have truly been blessed, and more than anything, I have three beautiful children, who love me for me.

Carmel apples, great kids- even one that is completely organized and sprinklers. What can be better than that!
You'll have to let me know about the tortilla smashers. Those would be awesome!
You are great Deb! I hope M-boy is doing okay. Let us know if we can help in anyway.
