Flour Tortillas

I'm so happy, our camera works again! Well, come to find out, it has been working all along, but we just didn't know it. Mike took it in yesterday to have it looked at and they said they would gladly fix it for $144.00! Mike said, thanks, but no thanks and walked out. While he was in the store, he noticed that the camera still takes pictures just fine, but the screen doesn't work. So, we will be taking pictures the "old fashioned" way, by looking through the little hole, instead of at the screen on the camera. The funny thing is that we can still review the pictures after we take them, the screen works fine for that. It's strange, but I'm just glad it works.

S-girl has been home from school the past two days. It's really hard for her to not go to school because she loves it so much. She keeps telling me that she is feeling much better, but then she starts to run a fever again. I think she has whatever M-boy had last weekend. I just hope I-girl is able to come through this one alright. I know that whatever happens is meant to be. We are going to the Davis County Fair on Saturday, so hopefully everyone will be feeling much better by then.

This morning, since S-girl was staying home, and I didn't have to get her breakfast quickly, we decided to make flour tortillas for our breakfast burritos. This is one of my kids favorite breakfast meals. It was fun to break in the tortilla smashers too. They worked great. I did have to use the rolling pin, because it didn't get them as flat as I like, but they were so much better than using the rolling pin alone. S-girl told me that we shouldn't buy tortilla anymore because the homemade ones are so yummy. She ate three of them this morning!

If you look close, you can see M-boy's little head behind the tortilla smasher.

Here is the finished product.

Here are the kids devouring their breakfast burritos.

I had to add this picture because M-boy wants to help with everything in the house. Here he is helping S-girl sweep the floor. I didn't know a 17 month old could be so helpful!

You do have such helpers! What great kids.

I need to learn how to make homemade tortillas from you. We have tried a few times, but they have not turned out. I LOVE homemade ones- especially for a breakfast burrito. YUMMY!

Yeah, they like to help when they're little. I have to get your recipe. Homemade are SO much better. I think I'm going to go make breakfast burritos for lunch it sounds so good. :)
