Sunday

Last Sunday, we decided to go to the first ward Mike and I were in right after we were married. I was a lot of fun, and so nice to see so many of our friends. The dynamics of the ward are a lot different than the ward we are in now, where there are so many little children. In this ward there are very few children, and while we lived there, we only had a junior primary, with 5 children in it. It is the "newly wed, nearly dead" type of ward. There are several condos and apartments in the area.

Having three young children, I wondered how sacrament meeting would go. We actually did better than I thought, especially since sacrament meeting started at 12:50 in the afternoon, and M-boy had not had a nap. M-boy had to be taken out just after the sacrament was passed, then about 20 minutes later I-girl had to use the bathroom, so the rest of us went out in the hall. That is where we stayed until the meeting was over. It was so quiet during sacrament meeting. When we moved away, S-girl was only 6 months old. Here are some photos of some of the people we know and love. This ward gave Mike and I a great foundation in our marriage. There are so many people that we learned so much from, and we know that we lived in that area for a reason.

I can't thank my friend Bonny enough for directing us to that area. If it wasn't for you, we would have never had these wonderful experiences living where we did!

After we went across the street to where Mike's mom and dad live. In the same exact apartment/condo that we lived in! It's funny how that happened. When we lived there, they were apartments, then about three or four years ago, we noticed there were changing them into condos. My in-laws just happened to be looking for a place to buy, and the only two bedroom left was the one we lived in. They gutted the units, and remodeled them, so they look completely different than they did when we were there. It's fun to go there and think about all of the great times we had while we lived there!
Our kids were able to play with some of their cousins that we have not seen in a while. It's was such a fun day! (sorry the pictures are so dark)

Thanks for the props, but I LOVED having you close by to keep me grounded during my single phase. I loved it there too. That's fun that you went back but not fun to sit in the hall. That's how I feel at my parent's ward.

I love to go back to old places and see what it's like a few years later. It also stirs up those fun memories!

It looks like you had a great Sunday with great people.

How funny that Mike's parents live in the same place you did.

Loved the pictures of your cute family!
