Garage Sale
This weekend, we are having a garage sale. About a month ago, SL decided that she wanted to have a sale, and sale some of the pictures she drew. It was one of those "wow, that is a wonderful idea" moments with a 5 year old when you don't want to do anything to destory their enthusaium and creativity but you are also not sure how to go about explaining things of this nature to them.
Mike and I have talked about having a garage sale for a few months now, and so we saw this as the perfect opportunity to tie her sale in with a garage sale, and then we knew we would have people come, and hopefully a lot of people. I didn't realize how much stuff we have that we don't use anymore. In trying to simplify our lives we are getting rid of a lot of stuff that we don't love anymore, and haven't used in years.
SL decided that instead of selling pictures, she is going to see strawberry lemonade, root beer, water, and brownies. We hope she will have a good experience with this! She is very excited about it.
