San Diego Day 5, the final day!

Sunday morning, we woke up got ready and checked out of our hotel. We went to the top of the hotel, the 22nd floor and took pictures. You could see right down into Petco Park. It was an amazing view. This is a picture of the Harbor from the 22nd floor.

After we took pictures, we went to the business center so I could print out my boarding pass. While we were there, my sister decided to check her email, and came across my cousin's phone number who is stationed at Camp Pendleton, about 25 miles from San Diego. She called Ben, and we met him at the temple and then went to lunch. It was really fun to get together with him.

Then it was time to go to the airport. Here is one final picture of San Diego before I left.


I had such a great time. It is still hard to me to believe that this trip actually happened. I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to go. I am in love with California, I would not want to live there, but it is such a fun place to visit. Maybe in two years, we will do the Disneyland trip, I'm sure the kids would love it.

It looks like you had such a wonderful time! I am SO SO sorry to hear about Mike's dad....wow....I am just glad that he is OK and everything worked out the way it did....a vacation never seems to go without a hitch!!!!

These photos were taken about a month ago. The snow is now all gone, Yeah! I tried to shovel a path through the snow so the kids could get to the playset to play. When Mason saw what I was doing, he immediatley took over shoveling. He shoveled for at least an hour, piling snow into the grey bucket. If the girls even tried to have a turn, he let them know it was his shovel. I'm sure he felt like he was a backhoe, moving dirt. That is his dream job.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
