Happy Halloween!
Halloween is such a fun holiday, especially now that our kids are older and more into trick or treating. A couple of days before Halloween, we made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, yum, my favorite! Mason is always happy when he can help in making real things instead of pretending to cook, which he does every day. He looks so serious in this picture.
On Halloween morning,we had pumpkin french toast for breakfast. I cut holes in the bread, and put orange & green food coloring in the eggs to make the french toast look like a pumpkin.

That night both of the girls decided that they wanted to be ballerinas. We already had the costumes, thanks to some great hand me downs, so they both were ballerinas. They looked so cute, and it was so warm outside that they didn't even need to wear a jacket. Mike took them out while I stayed home with Mason and gave out candy.

Here they are waiting patiently for Daddy to finish talking on the phone so they could go trick or treating. Thanks to some great neighbors who served hot dogs for trick or treating, our kids actually did have dinner. I think they were both too excited to eat dinner before they left.

Mason was too cute. Every time there was a knock at the door, he would get really excited and run over the the door, point to the candy bowl, and grab some candy to hand out. He wanted to put in the kids bags, so I let him, but he would do it really slow, it was almost like he was thinking "do I really want to give this candy away, or keep it for myself?"
