SL's new kite

The House Fairy has been good to SL. She can see through her little telescope everything that SL is doing, and saying. And she knows when SL is not home, or when she is outside playing. She has really helped us out this week with piano practice. She left SL a note saying that she noticed that SL was having a hard time playing piano, and that she would only leave a surprise if SL started listening to her mommy and practicing. Since then, the last 4 days, she has practiced, with no problems. I love the House Fairy! Two nights ago, the House Fairy came to visit and brought SL a kite. (the House Fairy also pays very close attention to any "suggestions" of what SL may want). SL has been saying for a while that she would like to have a kite. Luckily, the a House Fairy knew that Macey's carried an inexpensive kite that would work great. She had so much fun with it outside, and we were able to get it in the air a few times yesterday, which she was extatic about. We had a great time.



This was taken the morning after SL received a clean room certificate from the House Fairy. She hung it on her door and it has been there ever since.

Earlier this week, ML had an ear infection, with a very mild fever. I'm so glad we caught it in time and took him to the doctor. I'm afraid that if we had let it go any longer, the fever may have gotten worse. What a blessing!

A few nights ago, IL fell asleep reading "Cinderella". I'm sure she had sweet dreams that night.

I need to make friends with the house fairy. Carlyn is a good helper usually though. Your kiddies are so cute. Sorry about the ear infection, but I'm glad it didn't get worse. I just took my kids to the dr today. Just a virus. I was actually hoping for strep so I could get them on medicine and better soon. Oh well.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
