Miracles do happen

Sometimes it is truly amazing how things work out. For the last year, Mike and I have been praying that the car he drives, a 1996 Chevy Lumina would last until commuter rail was finished. Well, commuter rail starts running on Monday. Last night, Mike drove to his parents house in the Avenues, and as he was driving, being two blocks away from their house, the brakes started acting funny. Luckily, he was able to make it to their house. We left the car with Mike's dad because he is a mechanic, and said he would look at the car to see what the problem was. We feel so blessed that Mike was not on the freeway when this happened, and he was so close to his parents house. That was truly amazing, but the other amazing that was that I was meeting Mike at his parents because we had been invited to attend a dinner at Little America for Mike's work. So, I just happened to be there to give Mike a ride home. Mike's mom and dad watched our kids for us, and we had a wonderful dinner. I'm all about free meals at a nice hotel. I have just been thinking all day about how this couldn't have happened any better for us. What a blessing!
Here is a photo of IL eating chips with Grandpa on the bed. IL and Grandpa have a special bond between them.

It really is amazing how things work out. Heavenly Father gives us these experiences to either test our faith or to answer our prayers in a way that confirms our faith. I am glad everything worked out the best way it could!

Can I just say, how jealous I am of my dear father, lol. He always knows how to get the kids to come to him, beit a bag of popcorn, or in this case some chips... ha ha.
