Kids Pics

Last weekend, our friends, the Wilcox's came over for our first barbecue of the season. It was such a nice night, and the kids had so much fun together. We also broke in our fire pit. Mike built it in November of last year (it was his post campaign, de-stress project), and we didn't have a chance to use it before the snow hit. It was like camping in our backyard.


Last weekend we also spent the day cleaning and organizing the toys. IL and SL found several things that seemed like new to them because they had not played with them in a long time. It was great! IL found her magic wand, and her pretend lipstick and perfume. She put on her Cinderella dress and shoes, and told me that she was ready to go to the ball. So cute!


We put ML in the swing for the first time the other day. He thought it was the greatest thing in the world.


ML also loves to sit in any little thing he can find. He especially loves to play with the pots and pans, putting the lids off and on. He's going to be our "little chef".

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
