General Conference Weekend
I love General Conference Weekend. Mike and I had tickets for the Saturday Morning session. The last time we went to conference, I was pregnant with SL, so that was 6 years ago. It was so neat to be there for the solemn assembly. I felt like so many of the talks were speaking right to me. I absolutely loved Elder Ballard's talk. It was so uplifting, and reminded me how important my "job" as a full-time mother is.

As I was reflecting on the the weekend, I thought about how on Friday night, I was at my parents house. My sister's family was also there, they came from California to go to conference.
For 25 years, my family has gone to the Stadium of Fire in Provo. This year, it was announced Miley Cyrus was coming to perform. We knew the tickets would be harder to get this year. They went on sale on Friday night at 5:00. We logged on at 4:30 and were put in a virtual waiting room. Of course the demand for the tickets was high. At 5:40, we were able to get into the ordering website, and all of the tickets were sold out already. At 6:00, Mike called me and said he just heard on the radio that the tickets were already on EBay, for $2,000 a piece! How crazy is that? This is the first time that my family won't be going to the Stadium of Fire in 25 years. As I was thinking about it, I thought about the tickets that we had the next morning for conference. I realized that there were a lot of people who would have loved to have the tickets that we did, and really, we had the most important tickets, more important than tickets to see Hannah Montana. (Although I would have loved to see her too!)
