The Birthday Weekend!

Tomorrow is IL's 3rd birthday! We decided that we would celebrate it all weekend long, and boy did she enjoy it!

First we went and had doughnuts at this new doughnut shop right by our house. They have the best doughnuts I have ever had.

Then we went and saw Frontrunner at the new Clearfield station. The kids loved seeing the train, and we stayed until it left for the next stop. Mike is taking it to work now. He loved seeing all of the cars on the freeway, knowing that he wasn't stuck in traffic.

Then we went to the zoo. IL has been planning her birthday for the last month, and this was on the list. It was such a nice day to go. The kids had a great time.

This is the white alligator. It will only be there for a little while longer, so it was fun to see it. It hardly moved at all, and SL was fascinated that it could stay so still.

This was the train ride at the zoo.

Yesterday, we had IL's birthday party. She requested a pink party dress with a pink cake. She is such a little girl. My sister in law made the cute tu-tu's that SL and IL are wearing.
IL was pretty excited about her birthday. I made the dress she has on. In church, she would tell everyone. "This is my new party dress, my mom made it". She was so proud, and I have to admit, I am pretty proud of it too. It looked to cute on her.
This is ML enjoying his Cheetos.

Here is IL's birthday cake. Last Wednesday at our Enrichment meeting, we were taught how to decorate cakes from a sister in our ward. When she was done, she had us look under our seat, and if we had a piece of paper there, we won the cake, and I had it! I couldn't believe it because it was pink, just like IL wanted! I had her write Happy Birthday on it for her. She loved it. When IL saw it on Sunday morning, she was so excited, and after she ate breakfast, she came to me and said "I'm ready for my cake now".

This is a random photo of ML. I just had to add it because he looks so cute in it.

That was such a fun day on Sunday. Thank you, again, for inviting me. The girls are beautiful and the little guy... so handsome, I can't believe how blue his eyes are! They are amazing. It was fun to see the girls play together and see their personalities come out. And the dress was amazing, as was the cake. You are so talented.
