California Trip Day 5
Day 5 was the day we left Anaheim. We drove to Newport Beach in the morning, and let the kids play in the waves. I love to see and hear the ocean. It was fun to have the kids see it for the first time. They did not want to leave the beach.
After we left, we stopped and ate lunch at Jack in the Box, and then we drove to Palm Springs where my sister lives. We arrived there in the afternoon, and the rest of the day, I caught up on our laundry. My sister has a little room on the front of their house called a "Casita" where we stayed. I felt like we were still in a hotel room. It was so nice. My brother in law's parents were there too and they were nice enough to let us stay in the "Casita". The kids loved it.
My sister has lived there for almost 7 years, and this was the first time we were able to visit. It was so much fun to see their house. The temperature was in the 80's when we arrived. We ate dinner on the patio and the kids played in the backyard, and picked lemons off their tree. It was wonderful, and so relaxing.
