Scotlyn's Decorative Sugar Cookies

Last week, we made sugar cookies. I have not made cookies for years, but we made them to decorate with the Activity Day girls. (It's kind of sad that I needed that for an excuse!) Now, I'm sure that Scotlyn will remind me that we need to make them every year because she had so much fun! Besides the normal Christmas shaped cookies, she decided to make some designs of her own. I was really impressed with what she came up with. The one on the top row in the middle is the first one she did. It is a flower. Next to that is a Caterpillar. Santa will be getting some very special cookies at our house this year!

She had so much fun decorating them with the girls. She is really lucky, because with my calling, she will have two extra years of activity days.

Entertainment

These photos were taken about a month ago. The snow is now all gone, Yeah! I tried to shovel a path through the snow so the kids could get to the playset to play. If the girls even tried to have a turn, he let them know it was his shovel. I'm sure he felt like he was a backhoe, moving dirt. That is his dream job.

She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
