I love to run!
I love to run, in fact, in April, I started training to run a marathon this month. It was great to have something to look forward to and train for, but, 5 weeks into the training, I got what is called Plantar Fasciitis.
I thought that I could still keep going and training, but realized two weeks later that I was pretty much crazy, and stopped. I still run, just not as much as I used to. It broke my heart to quit, because I was so determined to finish the race.
I'm really glad that I started training because it helped me realize that it is something that I can do, if I was determined enough to do it. My foot still hurts, and I'm hoping it will heal soon. If I could just remember to do my exercises, I'm sure it would help. I thought that maybe I would still do some races this summer, but when we started doing Dave Ramsey, I realized that I would much rather be debt free than run a race. Besides, there will always be another summer, with plenty of races to run, but when I do run them, we will be debt free!
The picture below of Mason and Ivy I took last week. I found this baby jogger at a garage sale in the early spring for $15.00! One of the tires needed to be replaced, so I just had to buy a tube for one of the wheels. It was such a blessing to find it. The morning I bought it, I stopped at the garage sale, but I did not have any cash with me. The people having the garage sale were nice enough to hold it for me. When I came back, they said someone had come by and offered them $20.00 for it. I almost did not buy it, but I'm so glad I did.
