For all of you who are BYU Football fans......

My sister, who lives in Palm Springs, California had the opportunity to meet Coach Mendenhall and one of his assistant coaches last weekend. A friend of my sister have a son who is being recruited by BYU to play football, and they invited my sister's family over for dinner with the coach. Bonnie said it was amazing, and they were both so nice. They ate outside in beautiful 80 degree weather (I am so jealous right now, I can hardly stand the thought of 6 more weeks of winter, thank you Punxsutawney Phil) At least I can look forward to March 8th when we leave Utah to go to California for a week. I'm really excited to visit my sister for a few days there.

The picture below from right to left is: My Brother-in-law, Travis, My nephew Stockton, My sister, Bonnie, with her daughter Sierra in front of her, and Coach Mendenhall on the end. Can't you just feel the beautiful warm weather from looking at this photo?

My brother in law, Travis coaches football in Palm Springs, so he and the coach talked football for quite a while. What an amazing experience it must have been.

These photos were taken about a month ago. The snow is now all gone, Yeah! I tried to shovel a path through the snow so the kids could get to the playset to play. When Mason saw what I was doing, he immediatley took over shoveling. He shoveled for at least an hour, piling snow into the grey bucket. If the girls even tried to have a turn, he let them know it was his shovel. I'm sure he felt like he was a backhoe, moving dirt. That is his dream job.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
