Park Day

Yesterday, we went to the park. This was ML's first real trip to the park where he could actually play. He loved the slide. He walked a lot more yesterday. I think he is starting to like the idea of walking. It is so fun to see him taking more steps. He is so proud of himself.

Some funny things happened later on that day. When we were walking home from the park, there was a lady on the other side of the street who was walking her dog. The kids said the dog looked like a wolf. IL, being the observant one that she is, noticed that the lady was a little bit overweight, and had a pink shirt on. She said to me "Look, mom, it is the Biggest Loser!" Luckily the lady was on the other side of the street and couldn't hear what IL said. IL remembered that the girl who won "The Biggest Loser" was Ali and she wore a pink shirt.

After we came home, I put ML down for his nap and went outside on the front lawn with IL and SL. They love to run around our front flower bed that is shaped like a circle. They also love to pick flowers and give them to me. SL picked a tulip and I hear her say "Look mom, this is for you". When I turned around to see, she had picked the flower all right, bulb and all. It was so funny.

It reminded me of a article that was in the Ensign last month. One mom said, "we don't make messes, we make memories". I love it!

That is hilarious! Just another reminder that if I don't get my butt in shape my girls are going to start to notice. Ugh...

That sounds fun. I love comments that kids make like that as long as the other person can't hear.
