BYU Women's Conference
Last Friday I went to Women's Conference at BYU. It was amazing. My mom came, and my sister flew in from California. We met up with my sister in law, and Mike's Grandma (who was nice enough to let us sleep at her house on Thursday night). We had such a wonderful time. We went down just for the Friday session. I decided that I am going to make this an annual event, and be there for the Thursday session also. It was so neat to be around so many neat people and listen to so many wonderful talks.
Mike was so nice to take the day off on Friday to watch the kids so I could go. President Monson was the concluding speaker on Friday. As he left the building, he turned around and waved to everyone, and then gave us all of a "thumbs up". As he did this I thought about how busy his schedule must be and how neat it was to see him take time to pause, and look at everyone in the crowd on his way out. He is truly a prophet of God. I knew it when I saw him sustained at General Conference, and this was just another testimony to me. What an amazing man!
Here is a photo of me, my mom and my sister in front of the BYU Bookstore. Mike really loves BYU and wants to move back to Utah County someday so our kids can be closer to the school. There is such a neat feeling on campus.
