New Paint Project
On Monday, because my husband had the day off of work, we ran errands and then decided to do a spur of the moment paint project in our living room. We have lived in our house for 5 years and have painted one room in the house, the girls room. That project got started because I had three weeks left until ML was born and needed something to help the time go by faster for me. Three weeks at that point seemed like an eternity! Although my husband and my brother and sister-in-law ended up doing all of the work, it gave me something to look forward to. Anyway, we went and bought some paint and painted the living room in the afternoon. I have to say, I have never painted anything before, but it was a lot of fun to see color up on our white walls! After ML woke up from his nap, I took the kids for a ride and by the time I returned home, my husband had finished the painting, and had the living room put back together all ready! It was a nice surprise. This will give you an idea of what it looked like before:

I'm thinking about painting the wall below that is white and light green color. That white wall is a straight wall through the dining room and into the kitchen.

We are really pleased with how well the color looks on the wall. We decided to continue the brown color on the wall below on the left side. We have enough paint to finish it, and that will be this weekend's project. (And yes, we still use rabbit ears for our TV, at least for another year until it isn't free anymore).
Here are some photos of the finished project:
