President's Day Weekend

Last weekend, we went to Provo. Every year about this time, we buy a portion of a cow and a pig. Two weeks ago, my father in law bought the pig, and last weekend we went down to buy a cow. We took the kids to the auction to see all of the animals before they were about to reach their impending doom. SL was very interested in what happens to the animals, was asking a lot of questions about it. That morning, my husband made sausage for breakfast, and when Mike told her where the sausage came from, she was not hungry any more. She hasn't asked about it since.

While we were there one of the baby goats (or maybe it was a lamb) escaped from it's pen where Grandpa and IL were. You can tell from the look on IL's face that this was one of the best moments of her life!

Here is SL enjoying the baby pigs.

Comments

I notice that Annebel is in the back ground covering her ears. Oh brother! She still has shell shock from her surgery 5 months ago.

I'm laughing at all of these pictures because if PETA ever gets a hold of them... well... let's just hope PETA doesn't get a hold of them!

It sure was fun to see you guys that weekend!
