Pajama Day!

It's red ribbon week at school and with it comes all sorts of fun. Today was pajama day!  Scotlyn reminded me a couple of days ago that during the summer, we cut out a pair of pajama bottoms from some Disney sheets she bought at a garage sale. Scotlyn loves all things Disney, but the sheets ended up being too big for her bed. So we cut pajama bottoms out but never sewed them. Sometimes it takes a day like pajama day to prompt you to get a project done. This morning I woke up at 6:00, finished Scotlyn's pair and then made a pair for Mason and Ivy. It always reminds me how much I love to see when I make the time to do it. It is ver carthatic for me. They turned out very cute! 
Thanks to Studio C, my kids were all about photo bombing pictures.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
