Lagoon Day with Grandma and Grandpa

We have been having a lot of fun with our Lagoon season passes this summer. The kids want to go all of the time. We are trying to go as much as possible this summer, because we don't know if we will get them again for a few years. A week ago, Grandma and Grandpa LeBaron came with us.



My kids love the new ride, the Jumping Dragon. I'm really not too big of a fan of amusement park rides, but I'll go on them with my kids. This ride freaks me out when it goes backwards, but I found this time, as long as I close my eyes, I'm okay.

Mason seems to be following in my footsteps with rides, he does not like them very much either. Although, I don't know too many kids who get scared on "Bulgy the Whale" and the "Merry Go Round", like he does. About the only ride he likes is the train







We took Mason on OdySea to see if he liked it, but he cried on that one too.


This is how he usually experiences Lagoon. He wants to get out, but we don't like to chase him around the park, so he stays in his stroller.


The kids love the sky ride.

Mike and I went on Dracula's Castle while Mike's parents watched the kids. This ride was sure a lot scarier when I was younger.

We went this past saturday and seriously got drenched by the rain. I mean really drenched which cut our trip short. Looks like you get to enjoy Lagoon a lot!

These photos were taken about a month ago. The snow is now all gone, Yeah! I tried to shovel a path through the snow so the kids could get to the playset to play. When Mason saw what I was doing, he immediatley took over shoveling. He shoveled for at least an hour, piling snow into the grey bucket. If the girls even tried to have a turn, he let them know it was his shovel. I'm sure he felt like he was a backhoe, moving dirt. That is his dream job.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
