Here we go again.....

Mike took M-boy to the doctor tonight, and he has a double ear infection again. He's had a minor cold since Tuesday, but he started running a really mild fever after his nap today. That is usually our sign to get him to the doctor to find out what is causing the fever. We think we caught it early enough that the antibiotic will hopefully take care of the fever soon. He also has asthma as a result of the cold, so we started the treatments for that as well. Thank goodness for modern medicine. I don't know what people did even just 100 years ago.

oh that's crummy. Already? With the changes in weather from day to day my D has a runny nose now too. I wonder about medicine/medical innovations too because I would have died in child birth not that long ago too.

Oh Debbie, I am so sorry about another sickness. I hope that you guys get to stay away from Dr.'s and hospitals for a LONG time after this.

What a great post! Your counter and the reminder of how clean Rachel's kitchen is inspired me to clean off my counters. Drat if the clutter fairy didn't come back in the last few days and start some more piles, though. Oh well...!

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
