The Birthday Boy!

Yesterday was Mason's one year old birthday. I was thinking about the day he was born, and I remember it was 70 degrees outside, a little bit warmer than it has been lately.
Mason just figured out how to climb up on our couch, and now he won't stay off of it. He still has a hard time climbing onto it, and so he will scream and let you know what he wants. (which he is doing right at this moment). Once up there, he will go back and forth across it. He has fallen off a couple of times, but it doesn't seem to matter, because he still climbs back up. What determination!

Mike made a wonderful spaghetti dinner for Mason's birthday. Mason loves anything with noodles. It was so yummy! (Mike also does such a great job with presentation, don't you think?)

Here is a photo of Mason's birthday cake. Mike is a huge BYU football fan.

Here is Mason after he tore into his cake. He was so funny. He would only use his left hand for the first little while. I'm sure this ranks high as one of the best days of his life.

Here is ML opening presents with my brother. (No, he did not get the blue dress on the floor for his birthday. He now finally has some more boy toys, which the girls seemed just as excited about as he did!)

Here is Mason's other birthday cake. It seems quite appropriate that Ivy's little finger is in the photo. She could not wait to dig in, and doesn't want anything to do with it if it doesn't have frosting on it!

Wow, he's 1! Amazing huh? Kids only care about the frosting anyway. And my girls love boy toys as much as princess stuff. They love trucks and dinosaurs and digging in the dirt. Way to go Mike, the spaghetti looks awesome! It sounds like you had a lot of fun.
Wow Mike, I'm impressed! Great presentation on the spagetti! And Debbie, if I were ML, it would have been the best day of my life for sure!
