SL's Piano Recital

SL had her piano recital on Saturday. She played both of her songs very well, and we were all so proud of her. This is a picture of her with her teacher. She is a wonderful teacher, and so good with SL. This is SL with both sets of grandparents.


I made SL's dress. Ever since I made IL's dress for her birthday, she has been asking me to make her one. It turned out really cute, and she loved it!



After the recital, we went and got pizza and ice cream. She deserved it for a job well done!

SL looks like a doll in that dress! I wish I had your talent for sewing. I'd make one for my little P exactly the same! So cute.

I wish I could have made it to the recital! I loved listening to SL play that Sunday we celebrated IL birthday. You guys are wonderful. Love you all.

These photos were taken about a month ago. The snow is now all gone, Yeah! I tried to shovel a path through the snow so the kids could get to the playset to play. When Mason saw what I was doing, he immediatley took over shoveling. He shoveled for at least an hour, piling snow into the grey bucket. If the girls even tried to have a turn, he let them know it was his shovel. I'm sure he felt like he was a backhoe, moving dirt. That is his dream job.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
