Grandparents Day

Last weekend, my parents and Mike's parents came over for dinner. It was such a nice night, and the kids love it when they can play with their grandparents. We had barbecued meatloaf on the grill. We finally tried the recipe Tricia, it was so good!

If you look close enough, you can see IL in the back.

This is ML's mode of transportation lately. As I have mentioned before, he loves to help in the kitchen, and will stand at your feet and scream until you pick him up. This works great, if you can cook with one hand. With this backpack, we are all happy, and Mike and I get our hands back.

This is just a random photo of ML. One of my goals this year was to sew more clothes for my kids. ML was in need of some new summer PJ's, so I made him these last week. I thought they would be too big on him, but they fit him just right. Yes, he is in the kitchen again! Funny little guy!

We were just looking at the pictures and Weston saw the one of Mike with Mason on his back. He said, "Mom, that looks like Rob." Mike and Rob do look alike, especially when Mike is sporting a go-tee!

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
