Finally... Christmas Day!

It's hard to believe Christmas was a month ago! Here is run down of our day. This is what the living room looked like after Santa came.



Here are the kids the morning of Christmas before they went out to see what Santa brought. They woke up around 7:00. Thanks to the black Friday sales, we picked up these PJ's for $3.00 at Wal-mart!


This is what the girls really wanted more than anything, Leapsters. They have loved playing with them, and we have already had to replaced the batteries on Scotlyn's twice.

Here's a little bit of what each of them got for Christmas.

This picture of Scotlyn was taken the day after Christmas. I made the kids "Snuggies" for Christmas. They are so warm and nice.





Mason's only request was for trucks. Santa sure delivered!




Mason also got a book about Monster Trucks, which I am reading to him in this picture.
My family all came over for breakfast and stayed with us for most of the day. I think my parents were worn out!

Here are the girls getting ready for a special Christmas Day movie night. It was such a nice day. I just love spending the day at home, and not rushing to go anywhere. It makes for a nice lazy Christmas Day!

I loved all the pictures and the kids' expressions. Santa really delivered! I laughed at the picture of your parents zonked out on the couch - I can surely relate.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
