Christmas Eve

To start off Christmas Eve, Mike's parents came to visit. They had a goal to get to see all 7 of their children's families that day. Mike is the oldest of 8 kids. Mike has a brother who lives in Finland, so they talked to them that morning, and then came up to see us. It was great to visit with them. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful in-laws.

We went to my parents house this year on Christmas Eve. My sister's family was here from California, and my brother and his wife were there too. My mom always makes a turkey dinner on Christmas Eve, which was so yummy!

My kids love to get together with their cousins. Sierra who is 8 came over to play at our house a few days before Christmas. While she was playing with Scotlyn and Ivy, the girls decided they wanted to do a Christmas play. They put together all of the props, costumes, and even made programs for a Christmas Eve play. They were so excited to do it. They found our New Testament children's scripture book and Sierra read from it. My sister in law, Lyndsey and my brother, Darin were asked to play the part of Mary and Joseph, while their son, Emmett played the baby Jesus.

This is Mason with his cousin, Stockton. We now have three boys and three girls (grand kids). Stockton, who is 12, then three girls and then Mason who is turning three in March, and Emmett who is three months. I think Mason feels a special bond with his boy cousins.

It was such a fun Christmas Eve. The kids were exhausted by the time we got home, and went right to sleep.
