Ivy's EEG

Ivy had another EEG right after Christmas. It has been two years since her last seizure. She was so brave, and was so cute holding onto her Pillow Pet while they put the electrodes on her hear.

Her EEG is still abnormal, so it looks like she will be on the medication for at least one more year. The doctor did say though, that her EEG did show improvement since the last one two years ago, so we are very happy about that. She is such a sweet little girl, and we were hoping we could take her off of the medication, but we are very grateful that there are medications available to treat seizure disorders.

what a sweet girl. Her blue eyes are so beautiful! I am glad that she is doing so well. That is good news.

Haven't been keeping up. Good to see things are good. I haven't been good about keeping in touch, but we'd love to have you over any time if you are ever this way :)

Oh my goodness! I had no idea! I think your right that we are blessed to have medications to stop or slow real disorders! good luck!

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
