Temple Square
We went to temple square on probably one of the coldest nights in December. I'm glad the weather is back in the 30's now instead of the 10's like it was last week. We can't remember going to temple square in December since our kids were born. When Mike and I were first married and lived within walking distance, we would go down there during the holidays quite often. Also when I would come home from work, I would take a walk down town just about every day. Mike and I would love to retire and live downtown again, and be back where we started.
So, we decided that since it had been so long, we would take the kids and go there. I must admit, we (Mike and I) did not have the best time. I just do not like being cold. I would not have made a very good pioneer. I love my warm house, and pretty much stay inside all winter long. I admit, I am a wimp when it comes to the cold. I decided I need a winter house in Palm Springs where my sister lives. And when I wanted to go inside, the kids started taking off all of their winter clothing, which is understandable. I guess the best thing to do is 1, not go on such a cold night, and 2, consider driving around the see the lights next time.
Having said that, it was good to see temple square, it was beautiful, and I really tried to enjoy it. I loved how they put Mary and Joseph in the middle of the reflection pool. It was beautiful (but a blurry picture!)
I think the kids had fun. They looked so cute all bundled up.

So, the sister missionaries took the picture below. I love the sister missionaries (I was one of them not too long ago!) BUT, when your two year old and four year old start running toward the reflection pool in 10 degree weather, after it had snowed most of the day (icy conditions), I have to apologize when I just can't sit and talk about who I am sharing the gospel with, no offense, really!
