Race for the Cure
Last Saturday, my friend, Kim and I ran the Race for the Cure in Salt Lake. It was a lot of fun. We had a great time, and finished the race in 36 minutes, which we felt really good about. I was hoping to finish under 45 minutes, so I reached my goal. We probably could have ran faster, but it was a really slow start, trying to make it through the mass of people. It was amazing to see all of the people to come out in support of breast cancer research. It was fun to be part of such an event. The best part was getting all of the freebies afterwards, it made it even more worth it!
It was the first time I have ran a 5K and actually felt like I could have ran longer. It felt really good to be at that point. It's taken me a long time to get where I am today, but it feels so good!
I'm would like to run a 10K in June, so that is my next goal. I never thought I would say this, but I love to run!
