Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday last weekend, we finally made it down to visit Mike's family in Utah County. We have not been down there since October! I can't believe it had been that long!

This was the first time we took the kids to visit graves with Mike's family. Mike and I used to go every year before we had kids, but have not been since. It was such a nice day, and it was so great to see Mike's family. Mason's middle name is Twelves, and this is where it comes from. The Twelves family came to Utah with the Martin and Willie Handcart companies.

Then we went to the cemetery where Mike's grandpa is buried. It has to be on of the prettiest cemeteries I have ever been to. It's up on a hill and has a beautiful view. Mike's grandpa passed away almost three years ago from West Nile Virus. He was such a neat man, and I'm glad I was able to know him.

This is a picture of Mike's Grandma telling everyone stories. She loves to share stories with all of us. It's fun to hear them too.

After visiting graves, we went to visit some of Mike's family. We had a great time, and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. Hopefully, it won't be another 7 months before we get down there again!

How neat! Here in Malad is where the Willies (Martin and Willie) settled. There are Willies everywhere you turn here! Gald you had a nice weekend.

Forgive me for not calling or emailing earlier. I was just on the computer long enough to put some pictures on and that was only the other night. Our little guy is here and we're so excited. His name is Charlie and if you want any more details call or look at the blog. :) Take care!
