Halloween 2013
Here is Mike carving pumpkins with the kids. 
 

 On the morning of Halloween, Mason had the idea to surprise the girls and make our cooler into a pumpkin.  We have this cooler out all of the time, and we just buy ice every week and fill it with cold water.  It works out so great and let's the kids get a drink whenever they want.  Mason even put a green pencil on the top as the pumpkin top. 


Our neighbors brought us this super cute cheesecake.  What a fun Halloween surprise! 



 Ivy was a witch.  Here she is in full witch mode.
           
 Scotlyn decided to be a wizard.  The whoopee cushion costume was a little too hard to walk in on Halloween night.

 After trick or treating, we let the kids invite over friends to watch a movie.  Since Halloween was on a Thursday this year, and there was no school the next day, I still had to get up and teach spin the next morning.  So, Mike stayed up with the kids and they watched "The Nightmare Before Christmas". 

Here is a picture of our cute dog.  She is really a good dog, and we all really like her.

Scotlyn's Birthday Party

Scotlyn's birthday is this coming Thursday, but because her birthday always falls around General Conference time, we try to have her party the week before conference. She has been counting down the days until her party all week. It was a lot of fun, and was so nice to have her party outside this year. Every year on her birthday, the weather has been cold, until this year. This is a picture of her a couple of days ago, when she decided she was going to build a hot air balloon and fly to Salt Lake. She packed a change of clothes in her backpack and took food with her in the box. She also had a few toys with her, but when she was ready to fly, she realized that there was not room for her to sit in the box. She kept saying to me, "Mom, this is really going to work. I'm going to Salt Lake, I'll be back later". It was too cute. She never did make it to Salt Lake, but she didn't seem too disappointed that she didn't fly. I love how at this age, they lo...
