Am I a Coupon Adict?
I think this show just how addicted to couponing I am. I couple of weeks ago, when I was heading home after running, I saw a page of coupons on the ground. I ran past them, but then turned around, and went back to pick it up. I was almost home, so I ran home with it in my hand. It made me realize just how addicted to saving money with coupons I am.
I am very excited to say that I have reduced our grocery budget from $550.00 a month, from a year ago (and I still did not think that $550.00 was enough to provide for our family of five) to $320.00 a month. I would eventually like to take it down even more, but I'm going to go a few months at $320 and see how I do. I have even read coupon blogs where they only spend $40.00 a week on groceries. That to me right now seems impossible, but I know if I cut back little by little, I may be able to do that someday. I feel so much more in control, it's a great feeling. I'm finding that 90% of my grocery shopping takes place at home, and not in the store. It's fun to come home and have Mike guess how much I spend. I'm glad he supports me in my coupon craziness.
